Full-Stack Server Deployment Package

PHP 8+ & MySQL / phpMyAdmin Installation Suite

Complete backend scripts (install.php, api.php, worker.php, config.php, schema.sql) are included in the downloadable server archive.

1. Shared Hosting / cPanel Setup
  1. Extract docupresent_php_mysql_suite.zip into public_html/.
  2. Open cPanel → MySQL Databases or phpMyAdmin and create database docupresent_db.
  3. Ensure uploads/originals/ and uploads/rendered/ have 0755 permissions.
  4. Navigate to https://yourdomain.com/install.php to auto-create all 6 InnoDB tables and provision your Super-Admin user.
2. Required PHP Extensions & Converters
  • PHP 8.0+ Extensions: pdo_mysql, fileinfo, zip, mbstring, and gd / imagick.
  • PDF Rendering: Native browser-based PDF.js canvas + selectable text layer (zero external server dependencies required).
  • Office Conversion (`worker.php`): Uses headless LibreOffice (soffice --headless --convert-to pdf) + Poppler (pdftoppm) on VPS, with automatic client-side fallback on shared hosting.
3. Security, Backup & Troubleshooting
  • Hardened Security: Prepared PDO statements (SQLi defense), strict MIME verification via finfo_file(), CSRF tokens, bcrypt passwords, and script execution blocked inside /uploads/ via .htaccess.
  • Backup & Restore: Export state snapshot below or dump docupresent_db via phpMyAdmin + archive /uploads/originals/.
